CourtMap ProSe ("we," "us," or "the app") is an AI-powered assistant designed to help self-represented litigants manage their family law cases. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Account information: Your name and email address when you register.

Case data: Information you enter about your cases — case titles, types, jurisdictions, situation summaries, opposing party names, case numbers, and filing dates.

Documents and files: Documents and files you upload for analysis, drafting, or organization.

Usage data: How you interact with the app, including features used and audit log entries.

Connected accounts: If you connect Gmail or Google Drive, data accessed through those integrations as described in the connection authorization.

We use your information to:

• Provide case management, document analysis, and AI-generated guidance tailored to your situation.

• Generate battle plans, draft documents, and look up jurisdiction-specific court rules.

• Save your legal dictionary terms and case milestones for quick reference.

• Maintain audit logs for security and troubleshooting.

• Improve the quality and accuracy of our AI-generated content over time.

The app uses artificial intelligence to generate case strategies, document drafts, legal term explanations, and other guidance. AI-generated content is based on the information you provide and general legal principles — it is not tailored legal advice and may not account for specifics of your jurisdiction or case.

Information you enter into the app may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses. Do not include information you are not comfortable having processed for AI generation.

Family law cases frequently involve sensitive categories of personal information, including domestic violence history, health information, financial records, and information about minors. We process these sensitive categories only to provide your case management tools.

When you create a case involving domestic violence, the app prompts you about Address Confidentiality Programs (ACP). If you are enrolled in your state's ACP, you should use your substitute ACP address instead of your real home address. You can mark any family member's address as confidential in your Profile, which masks it in shared views and exports.

You may give or withdraw consent for processing of sensitive data categories at any time in your Profile under Privacy & Data Rights. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete your data — use the export and deletion tools described below to exercise those rights.

The On-the-Spot Notary feature may capture biometric data including your photograph (ID image), voice recording (oath audio), signature image, and document page images. This data is stored in private, access-controlled storage and is used solely to assemble your declaration or notary session record.

We do not use biometric data for automated identification, facial recognition, or any purpose beyond the notary session you initiate. You may delete any notary session record at any time, which removes the associated stored files.

Your data is stored on secure servers managed by our platform provider. Case data is associated with your account and is not shared with other users unless you explicitly use the sharing features.

We use encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data.

The app uses third-party AI providers (large language models) to generate case strategies, document summaries, draft documents, legal term explanations, and other guidance. When you use these features, the information you provide — including case details, document contents, and situation summaries — is transmitted to these AI providers for processing.

What is sent: The text and file contents you submit for analysis or generation. This may include sensitive personal information such as financial records, health information, or details about minors if you include them in your case data or uploaded documents.

How it is processed: AI providers process your data under their respective terms of service and data processing agreements. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection safeguards, including encryption in transit and restrictions on using your data to train their models. However, we cannot guarantee the practices of third-party providers.

Your control: You are not required to use AI features. You can use the app for case organization, timeline management, and document storage without invoking AI analysis. To minimize data exposure, avoid uploading documents containing information you are not comfortable having processed by AI providers. You can delete any processed content at any time.

Google Play User Data policy: Third-party AI integrations in this app are subject to Google Play's User Data requirements, including limited use, disclosure, and consent. We remain responsible for ensuring compliance with these requirements.

The app integrates with optional third-party services including Gmail and Google Drive. When you connect these services, you authorize them to share data with the app according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how third parties handle your data once accessed.

AI processing is handled by third-party AI providers under their respective privacy and data processing terms.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their state's privacy laws. You have the right to:

• Access & portability: Download a complete copy of your personal data from your Profile under Privacy & Data Rights.

• Correction: Edit your case data, family tree, and contact information at any time.

• Deletion: Delete individual cases, documents, and evidence, or permanently erase your entire account and all associated data from your Profile.

• Consent control: Give or withdraw consent for processing of sensitive data categories.

• Opt out of sale: We do not sell your personal information.

• Disconnect third-party integrations (Gmail, Google Drive) at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, use the tools in your Profile or contact support through the platform's support channels. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a case, document, or saved term, it is removed from active storage. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted.

The app is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
