By creating an account or using CourtMap ProSe ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

CourtMap ProSe is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The app provides general legal information, AI-generated guidance, and organizational tools for self-represented litigants.

Nothing in the app creates an attorney-client relationship between you and CourtMap ProSe or its operators. Communications through the app are not privileged or confidential in the way that communications with a licensed attorney would be.

You should consult a licensed attorney for advice specific to your situation and jurisdiction.

The app uses artificial intelligence to generate case strategies, document drafts, legal term explanations, and other content. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Court rules, statutes, and procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time.

You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated content against current, jurisdiction-specific authority before relying on it or filing it with a court. Do not submit AI-generated documents without reviewing and editing them yourself.

The app's On-the-Spot Notary feature offers an "Unsworn Declaration Draft" option. An unsworn declaration is not a notarization and does not carry the same legal weight as a document signed before a commissioned notary public. Most courts require notarization for many filings.

Under 28 U.S.C. § 1746, unsworn declarations may be permitted in certain federal proceedings and in some state courts, but acceptance varies by jurisdiction and document type. You are responsible for confirming whether an unsworn declaration is accepted for your specific filing before submitting it to a court. When in doubt, use a licensed notary public.

The app does not provide notary services and does not commission or employ notaries. Any notary session materials you capture are assembled for your records and do not constitute legal certification by the app.

CourtMap ProSe is designed to provide legal information and organizational tools, not legal advice, to avoid the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). The app does not draft documents on your behalf without your active direction, does not recommend specific legal strategies as advice, and does not represent you before any court or tribunal.

All AI-generated content is labeled as such and accompanied by notices that it is not legal advice. If your jurisdiction requires a licensed attorney for your matter, you must retain one.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to violate any law or court order.

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to the app or to a court.

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm another person.

• Attempt to access another user's data without authorization.

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the app's infrastructure.

• Use the app to practice law or provide legal services to others without a license.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information and documents you enter or upload. You grant the app a limited license to process your content solely to provide the app's features, including AI generation and document analysis.

You represent that you have the right to upload all documents you submit and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights.

The app's design, code, branding, and underlying technology are owned by their respective owners. AI-generated content you create through the app is yours to use in your case, subject to these terms.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your case.

Court rules and legal procedures vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. You must independently verify all information before relying on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourtMap ProSe and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost cases, missed deadlines, unfavorable outcomes, or reliance on AI-generated content.

You assume full responsibility for all filings, strategies, and decisions made in connection with your use of the app.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CourtMap ProSe and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your user content, or your violation of these terms.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
